The winch would definitely be mounted behind the cab so no worries about having enough room. I searched long and hard and found the specs on the Eaton Char-lynn 109-1094 hydraulic motor but no such luck finding the conversion chart. I also searched the forum for quite a bit for the pto ratings...

Not sure where to post this question, so here goes. Has anyone tried to run a PTO driven winch of of an auxillary engine? Does anybody know what the approx. hp output of a 5ton pto would be? Would like to mount a winch on the back of my truck but from what I've seen rear facing PTO units...

Well the mailman brought my new pump today, $33 shipped to my door. Now to figure out where to mount it. Was thinking on the frame behind the cab but I know these pumps like to push rather than pull, would the extra 8" be too much head for it to pull, or should it be mounted directly on the tank?

Thanks guys, I found a few solid state pumps on ebay, I'll order one this week. It appears as though somebody had problems before as the copper line on top of the tank is already spliced with a piece of rubber fuel line.

For the guys who are using an externally mounted fuel pump to replace the in tank unit: What type of pump are you using? Is one kind better than another? Where is a good (cheap) place to buy one? Also, do you have to remove the in tank pump or can it pull fuel through it? Thanks

I think the starter is fine, just the wiring that somebody had rigged up is shot and possibly the starter relay. just trying to Figure out what all the switches are on the dash because any labeling is gone. Hopefully if the rain holds off I can get it cranking tomorrow, then attack the fuel...
