This is my daily driver a 1985 M1009 CUCV I have made the following modifications to it
1) Replaced batteries 6TL to series Napa Commercial group 31
2) Rebuilt Starter
3) Rebuilt 1 Alternator other came with truck (charging as it should)
4) Truck came with side pipes angles out rear...
I have a few problems all related to the NP 208 transfer case.
1) I leaked about 4-5 qts of Transmission fluid over 600 miles
2) I have located new seals however I guess there is 4 different one's

In a few weeks I'm taking my truck on roughly a 1,800 mile total round trip to Maine and back. I'm changing all the fluids starting with the transmission fluid which was already done with the rebuilt trandmission. I just changed the rear differential oil what a difference! next is the front...
The gear oil that came out of that pumpkin looked about as old as me atleast 28 yrs. The gasket was literally one with the cover I had to take it to a whiz wheel and lightly grind it off (light coarse, razor blade worked a little bit) Has anyone seen in their M1009's a epoxy where the magnet is...
Looking to get a rally going here on the WV MD border any suggestions? It'll be sometime in June/July with a BBQ camping MV's offroading and a lot of fun. I'll recon the area and see where a nice place would be. keep checking back for updates and anyone with idea's please post or pm. thank you
