I recently purchased a cherry m998 with a blown 6.2, after much debate I decided to swap it out for a 6.5 turbo motor I had sitting in a van.
Anyone who has done this swap, please shoot me any advice you see fit! I'm not a stickler for originality, but I do like to keep things looking decent...
I'm working on a HMMWV that is missing the PCB box completely, is there a way to tell what box its supposed to have(yellow or green label, or I've read there is a 3rd type?), or does it matter as long as its a good box?
or better yet, can I take the box completely out of the equation and put...

Hello all, it's been awhile since I have frequented the CUCV forum, but I hope you will follow along as I bring back a blazer that was destined for China (scrap).. Here is the story-
If you months ago a member of the local MVPA group mentioned in passing that he had a CUCV in his field that he...
we (the KILROY MVPA group, the same group that brought you this years national convention) are looking for more people and trucks to come out for the veterans day parade this year! unlike years past, we are no-longer just another group/float in the parade, but we are the main attraction! we will...
I am having some issues with a M932A2, the brake light switch was bad when I took possession of the truck (AKA- I have no history on the truck) when i removed the switch from the air line, pressure bled off (i would guess 100psi) I replaced the switch, turned on the lights, and pressed the brake...
I am going to Hooks, TX to pickup a lot of tires.. on the trip down I will be running empty (30' long 10ton trailer with dovetail) and will have 11 pallets of tires on the return trip, so space is limited for the return..
my plan is to leave Wed oct 1st in the evening, and drive through KY...
I picked this generator up from a family friend, it has a rod through the block, but was working when it "released itself" so I decided to replace the engine (has a jeep motor in it) only problem is, I can't seem to remove the generator head from the engine..
Has anyone done this before? Is...
hi, well after a catastrophic front bearing failure, (if involved a LARGE tow truck, and a even larger bill :( ) i am trying to reassemble the front hub/spindle/bearing Assy. now comes my question-
the front inner seal I got from memphis equipment had a "wiper ring" that came with it, what is...
well folks, its about time for a new project ( i need one like i need a new hole in the head) i almost have the XM971 command camper done, and i want something TRACKED!! lol i have been looking into FV432 APC's from the UK, but then i stumbled across a M4 HST (high speed tractor) and...

I got a heads up the the local town I live in found a loop hole that I hadn't thought of, and was planning to impound my trailer, so I called SS member Matt (matt1970M35A) and asked if i could bring it to his...
well, i went friday morning with the M932A1 to pick up my new(to me) xm971 semi trailer.. when i hooked up, i found a blockage on the trailer "service" side, but the big problem was that when i pushed the "charge trailer air" knob in the cab of the truck, i got a slight hissing sound under the...

I'm trying to find the specs for the 10 ton M971 trailer, more so- the king-pin to top of trailer hight.. i know it it is not a set height because of the airbags, just need to know if its going to be over hight on my truck... (truck's 5th wheel plate is exactly 5ft off the ground)
so I hear (read) on here all the time, that the best upgrade for power is a engine swap.. so I have been looking for a good option to swap into my M932A1 (kinda hard when you dont know much about "large" diesels) but i stumbled across this NTC300, I have not seen the engine, but as near as I can...
I have a M932 tractor, and would like to keep it a tractor... but was wondering about making a removable bed that sets over the 5th wheel and ramps for when I dont need to pull a trailer.. has anyone done this? pics? how did you make it work?
I was thinking of attaching it in the rear with pins...
so I am a new owner of a M932, and in Indiana I dont have to have a CDL, depending on what DOT officer you talk to, so I am getting one to be on the safe side... has anyone used a 900 5ton to get a class A CDL?
