    Looking for a nice M923A2

Hi DarylB I have a nice M923A2 in Dallas. It just went out to the Texas Motor Speedway this weekend and was a major it. It was owned by a local American Legion chapter and I've been supporting it (mechanically etc) for them. Hard top, battery disconnect, LED lights, and more. It was painted 3...

School me on Cat ET kits

Eesh.. that's not a good look for the hobby and this community. It's not released for public distribution so it means just that. I don't agree that these TMs should still be classified since they sell the trucks to the public but since when did the military care about common sense? It wasn't...

Who got the GP M-47 1790-7B Engines

The local GSA was able to pull 2 of these units from DLA before GP got those 4 units. One does look "refreshed" and the other was clearly a victim of water intrusion. I hope they go to a good home. Talk about a dinosaur (that I want!)

    Dearborn adapter woes

Make sure to try all channel types, you may just have to do process of elimination. I've noticed some trucks like theJ1708 and others J1939 connection. Make sure the dual-link option is unchecked, these trucks don't support that feature.

TX HMMWV Tires - Baja, MT, and Wrangler

    M10A Forklift--Needed Parts

I know Eastern would outsource the kits and do the same as any supplier would in this situation. I've had 5 units, still have two. Problems I've had are mainly brakes and hoses, both obvious wear components. The engines have been solid and they are dependable machines as long as you work at...

    M10A Forklift--Needed Parts

I bet that's their "we dont want to sell it" price as it may be on back order, non-stock, or simply they don't want to. I have a few M10As and I have to send each cylinder out to a shop when they fail. I've not had much luck with seal kits since Dresser<International Harvester<Komatsu who didn't...

True failure rates of the 6CTA8.3L injector pump?

Your process is good. Go ahead and break open the injector lines from the injector before you start cranking to see if anything comes out. Even the slightest stream from one injector gives you the indication it could-maybe-possibly-sorta-kinda has a chance to loosen itself up and fire. Tighten...

Dallas TX Folks - 5 Ton Insurance and Title Question

What truck is it and was it actually made in 2008 or rebuilt in 2008? You've yet to share this info. A Progressive Commercial policy limited to personal use will insure you but that is expensive. Progressive may insure it if you bring your daily driver over, I've done this before too. You can...

Dallas TX Folks - 5 Ton Insurance and Title Question

Howdy IronhorseTX, I'm local to you and handle this stuff literally every day. Here's the form you need to register it as a FMV - Former Military Vehicle. The only things you need with this are proof of insurance and your choice of license plate or stencil. Now, insurance wise.. what are you...

    First M35A2c road trip!

Judging by your pickup destination you're buying one of my former 1987 M35A2C Air Force trucks from Tinker AFB. I won't dox (disclose without permission) the owner's name but he's very passionate about Air Force legacy. The deuce you're getting has been gone through above and beyond for the guy...
