RE: Buy it!
It is rust free. Wish the '80 was that rusty :D
Its only 100 miles away or so from me - which aint too bad I guess. I was gonna wait on the weather a lil bit before I go look at it. Sad thing is I'll come home with it then. LOL
I was thinking of buying the truck to haul drinking water - but if its had fuel in it I doubt one could get it certified.
The guy wants 3k for it
might even sell the tank and go from there
I have a 5 ton engine lined up for it , if'n I decide to buy it
Took the duece at the yearly car show/ cruise. I sure managed to get lots of attention somehow. Musta been the c series and people wanting me to honk at them :D
I still never found another # on the frame over the weekend.
Did see the trans is made in england tho :o
The transfer case is the one that actually gave up a number for the year 7-80 So the truck was sold as it was as claimed to be - so much for rumors I guess
Still gonna look for...
the 10015 is on the frame by the shock- wonder if some numbers were ground off............
its a ex navy truck the fenders are sloped i think - id have to go look to be 100%
its the truck in my avatar - i guess i'll be doing some extra looking this weeked to figure out if it was...
There was no 0000- number before the 10015
the serial # and plant # on the axle tag says 1209769
