You almost had me on that one, ha ha I think the 20 amp fuse next to it exposed your trickery. I was just thinking about you today. I hope you and you're family are doing well.

May need some assistance in PA

I'm thinking it slammed into the guard rail, but you said that the guy said the wheel went flying off before he hit the guard rail? Maybe check the torque on the rest of the wheels. I noticed that the van in the picture has similar damage. Did that vehicle hit the guard rail too, or do you know?

    Dark Seas M1008 Project

Not if your going to start it without the aid of the glow plugs. I believe you said you are going to use starting fluid. I would use the glow plugs to start it instead of starting fluid. Crack each line one at a time until the system is primed and start cranking.

    Dark Seas M1008 Project

Are you going to remove the glow plugs and crack the fuel injection lines to prime the fuel system up to the injectors before you try to start it?

    CUCV M1008 Build

Good job! I took my springs off to change the bushings to energy suspension. If I remember correctly the rear was easier. I'm trying to remember but I think I was able to do one side at a time on the rear which kept everything lined up. The front not so easy. I had to take both springs off at...

Original Stanadyne Fuel Filter Base Rebuild

After reading these posts that you guys, oops, I mean you people, have convinced me that the original stanadyne fuel filter base will not be coming part of my arsenal in the future. Best of luck on your mission to keep the original part available, but I'm keeping my screw on filter. It is cool...

Squibbly's M1009 and other Questionable Projects

Well Squibbly I forgot you have an M1009 and I'm always thinking about an M1008. So with different gearing in yours I can't really relate to what the shift points would be. Peace.

Squibbly's M1009 and other Questionable Projects

Those speeds would be to high for me. Mine shift at 15 to second and 25 to 35 to third depending on how I drive. If you like the other shift points thats good for you.

Squibbly's M1009 and other Questionable Projects

I think over time based on the condition of the motor your timing might need adjusting to compensate. I may be wrong on that I am not sure. I think every vehicle is different and the sweet spot and the timing position can vary. Just my opinion.
