    MV Vandalism

Sorry to hear about the vehicles, it is a shame that someone would vandalize to that degree. When I owned my M1009, I got dirty looks from the enviornmental professors and students at the college I do security at. I have also had vehicles vandalized in the past, so I know how frustrating it...

Unfortunatly, I sold my M1009 the other week. At least the new owner is also an mv hobbyist so I know that she went to a good home.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

today I woke up, went to the store for a pack of cigarettes...... While driving, the truck had a wobble while coasting and slowing, 5-15 and 15 down to 0. Went to the mechanic, nothing wrong at all with the suspension. I decided to have the tires rotated, and sure enough another problem. I had...

    Jumping a 24 volt with a 12 volt

I actually did this, and was surprised that my cobalt jumped my m1009. I just hooked up the cables to the front battery. It took awhile for the juice to flow, but it finally started. I still dont know what drained the battery, and it hasnt happened again <knock on wood>, but yes no problems...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

I looked, I could not find any holes, grommets or anything else. I took up the vinyl padding, and even took off the dash, and nothing behind either. The only holes into the engine compartment from the interior is on the driver's side. I positioned the junction block on the driver's side and all...

    CUCV Videos

http://www.youtube.com/kotriceman27#p/u/3/r-7gUTHzF7c I tried to embed it but failed, it's my m1009 taking the speed bumps near my house. It seems more shaky then actually hitting those speed bumps due to driving with one hand, and holding the camera with the other.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Today since we are in our thawing cycle here, I changed the rear drivers side marker light. I also mounted my CB Radio, and 102" whip CB antenna. I am charging my drill tonight, and plan to install my internal junction block, just have to find a safe place to drill through the firewall on the...

    Bumper number etiquete

Thanks to the OP for asking, I think I will use the numbers of my great great uncle's unit numbers who was a paratrooper in WWII. If I can translate them, still trying to figure them out, I am new to MVs and unit numbers.

    Winter driving means slow down

This looks like the forum to post this story. I was on my way into work last night. It was snowing bad <round 1 of 2> tonight is going to be even worse. 12-20" of snow, with up to 3" per hour. I pulled up to a stop light, and this dodge nitro pulls up next to me. This stretch of road runs...

Terminal Board in back of M1009

I just touched this in the "what have you done to your CUCV" forum. I called it a junction block. I ordered one since my m1009 did not come with one. I plan to use it for all my radio communication equipment, and some other accessories. I believe if you hook it up to the front battery it'll be...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

I worded it wrong sorry,it's the junction block that is supposed to mount inside the vehicle under the radio bracket. It's a duplicate of the junction block in the engine compartment on the right vehicle side firewall where all the wires go into. I cant save the image to upload it. Instead of...

    warm starting issues, still

I had a problem like that when I first bought my m1009. Now the wait light still doesnt come on. I couldnt exactly tell you what helped fix my warm/hot no starts. It was towards the end of summer when I got my m1009, it started after I changed both batteries, and getting both alternators...
