What you're not looking at here is your role in a SHTF situation. Will you be traveling alone or with friends? Do you have convoy routes and places to refuel or will you just GTFO of Dodge? Its not just the vehicle you need to look at but its place in things.
I own an 05 Chevy 2500HD Crew Cab...
Ok, I'm gonna throw my 2cents in here and probably :deadhorse: or two. For the record, I'm an IT guy with tons of time on forums in the past few years. It seems that some folks just can't wrap their head around a few things.
With the forum style classifieds, you can post in the for sale thread...
Electronics in vehicles really are a huge pain. Thursday I will be paying money to the stealership for some repairs done on my 2500HD. $1800 for a few ELECTRONIC parts that had gone haywire. I miss the days of looking at an engine and being able to trace a problem without having to use a code...
Build thread or something please!!! What seats are you using? Did you make the console? What are all of the switches controlling? I need answers!!!!! :jumpin:
While I adamantly hate HOA's and what they think they have the power to do, I kinda side with them on this one. Because it is an actual problem with the weight of the truck and the PVC pipes (who the he!! uses PVC for mains in a neighborhood???), I would rather have someone inconvenienced a...
Sounds like I've got a lot of research to do.
KsM715: That is what I'm talking about, however, I like the lights to be flush to the top like my Chevy is. Gives it a much cleaner look.
I'm actually looking more for the cab mounted lights than a rack mounted system. These lights will just come on with headlights/marker lights. At night with just markers on it gives most any truck an ominous look to it that screams bad a**. :D
I'll have to look into that, thanks for the heads...
Looks like I'll have to do some drilling then. :(
The plan is to have a Deuce set up as a Roadside Assistance/Recovery vehicle. Not much recovery to be done in Alabama, but when it snows people instantly forget how to drive. Those clearance lights with the stock convoy lights and various...
At the moment my "Big" truck is an 05 Chevy 2500HD, loaded with everything. It came with the orange clearance/fog light package as seen below which I love on a truck. Is there an option or aftermarket package to install one on a Deuce?
Sent you a PM before I saw this thread. This is exactly what I want, crew cab bobbed deuce. You'll be hearing from me sometime next year to either build this or at a minimum get with you to draw up plans for someone to fab it. I have a weakness for crewcabs, I won't buy another truck without it...
Will do!
Megalopolis huh?
Will definitely do so, looking forward to getting into an M35 next year! Hopefully an A3, they look the best out of all of them. I think a bobbed A3 is in my future.
Didn't mean for my post to sound like I was in the service, I'm just a DoD contractor going over.
I'm a desk jockey doing IT work, while I'm still in the warzone I don't consider myself to be doing anything that important. While we are in some danger, the real work gets done outside the...
I hope you're still in business when I get back stateside next year! Been wanting a stock M35 but the look of the bobber is just too inviting! One idea I do have is a crew cab bobber, might have to sketch up some plans and get them to you when it gets close to time for me to come home. 8)
I'll try, I fnd out tomorrow when and where I'm headed. The only redeeming quaility of this little trip is going to be the size of my bank account when I get back.
Thought I'd throw a quick hello out there. Been looking into getting an M35 for hunting/offroading/zombie invasion use when I get back from overseas. Found this place and the information ya'll have here is amazing. I'll probably be doing alot of lurking and drooling over the next 12 months until...
