Truck sat for about a year, but started right up. Ran well but for some reason lost power when in gear. Stop and let it run for a bit and it seemed to have more power for a shorter duration. Limped it back to barn where it could barely idle. Let it sit for a week and went to start it. Fired...
When first start up with cool engine, no rattle. After engined hits 200 degrees, the rattle would start. Sounded like a metal heat guard on exhaust rattling. Looked every where but couldn't pin point it.
After enough head scratching, I finally determined that it must be the belts on power steer...
We have donated and installed ballistic glass in our local County Sheriffs swat vehicle (an old Dodge pig like thing). The team recently aquired an MRWAP which caused them to reach out to me for help.
The truck has a sliding hatch in the roof for observation. Given this swatt team has had more...
Truck has not been used a lot in the past year. I pulled it out of the barn to recover a vehicle I got stuck. The area was at the top of a hill. MK ran good but started to loose power halfway up the hill.
Turned around and drove back to barn but made it only halfway. It did seem to run better...
Won a Humvee out of MN. Thought I would buy it as a spares vehicle. Have bought several trucks and never had EUC issues...until now.
I use the form online, filled it out and hit print, but it did not go to the form. Instead, it printed what was on my computer screen. I call and ask what was...
Its a civilian Jeep bought and put into service by the US Army-so I figure its ok to post here. This '77 Jeep was won on GL and came out of Sparta. It served as a fire truck in a presumably dry area. No rust anywhere. Took a bit to get her to run, but unfortunately, the transmission has water in...
Batteries seemed to work fine (Interstates). The other day, I jump in to start it and nothing-not even clicking sounds. I hook up a 24 volt charger and set it on low for a few hours. Still nothing.
I check voltage-over 24 in sees and over 12 individually.
The strange thing-when I hit the...
Picked it up in North Dakota. All original-no rust. Was used as a fire truck for years. Everything works with exception of a cracked exhaust manifold. It makes a good stable mate to my Jeep fire truck that came out of Sparta. Same color too. I am in the midst of restoring the Jeep.

Picked this up last year out of Sparta. I have begun to rebuild it. Question-what does CF6390 stand for? The old fella is my wives uncle from Queens. He helped me recover the jeep out of Sparta.

Finally found a local Mule (Genny) motor for my mule. Current engine is good for killing bugs with a ton of smoke. Finally found a local engine through Craigslist. Motor was across town which made it a snap.
Got the crate into my shop and opened it up to see if good or bad. She looks good...
Its now cold here in MN. Went to exercise my truck today, so I fired it up. As usual, the engine fired up immediately (about 25 degrees F here today). I took it through my property, and was preparing to take it into town to fill it up with winter blend fuel. I noticed a rhythmic clicking coming...
I have an MK48 with both a MK14 trailer and a MK18 loader (currently coupled to FPU. I was moving the MK14 trailer this past weekend and noticed the front frame detail. It got me thinking.
The front of the 14 trailer frame has a cast iron adapter bolted inside the frame rails. This adapter mates...
When I shift my transfer case to low range, I can not get the transmission to shift to neutral or reverse. Am guessing my truck has an anti reverse kit in it.
Can somebody tell me where in the TM's this is-or is it an add on that is not in the TMs. I really need to get this sorted out.
I have a...
The only way to engage the PTO on my truck is to shut the engine off, pull the PTO lever back and restart engine. Carefully following there operation manual only serves up a grinder. Has anybody had this issue and if so, how did you correct it.

Figured folks might like to see an A3 in blue. She is parked in a Military Surplus lot not far from my building in Maplewood, MN. Two Deuces where lurking hitched to wagons-big heavy ones.
Perhaps others on this thread might post pictures of their un-conventionaly painted MV. Would be fun to...
I have a new dog. His name is Jango (shelter dog Australian Shepard mixed with something that looks like a small German Shepard). He got his first ride to work today to gather a load of brush from spring cleaning. Jango rides high and proud in this beautiful (to me) truck.
He has started to eat...
I recovered an M936A2 wrecker from Ripley late last fall. CTIS was lighting up but not cycling. Given winter was around the corner, I thought I would go through the truck to find the issue with the CTIS.
After a long winter all of my tires where very low, so outside of manually pumping up all...
Trucks runs and shifts perfect, except when in low range. Put it in low with front end locked in. Had to back up a bit to make a sharp turn, but found while in low range, the truck would not go in reverse. It feels like something is preventing shift arm from traveling.
When I put the truck in...
