Hello all, I know this is a lil older post and several ppl have obviously done ALOT of work in this area. I am in need of a new printed board for my M1008 and had heard/read someplace that the matt for the idiot light trucks was the same for them all, it was the plug that made the actual diff...
Hello, I got a hold of Unity customer service, very nice people. I tried to explain what I was missing in my kit as far as the instruction sheet with the various templates. The woman I spoke to sent me a copy of the instructions, but it was only a thumbnail and when I tried to enlarge it, it was...
Hello all! I recently got an A pillar spot for my truck. The directions are missing the templates for placement of the bracket. I looked on Y tube and found that plaement of the light as faar s up and down is more of a matter of convenience, however, I am worried that as far as "in and out"...
Thanks for the thoughts and replys, gringeltaube, this are some NICE but EXPENSIVE shoes! Beandip, I did not realize the diff. was that small!
Thanks!
Greg
I imagine thats what I will ultimatly do, I have the original rims on the truck now. I have looked and looked and thought maybe I was missing something, I love the way the 24bolt rims look but just don't want that big of tire.
Thanks Joe, if I wanted to play around with it just to see results, would that 3rd hose, the one toward the front on your current setup maybe T into one of the heater hoses?
If so, would you think the one to or from the heater core?
Thanks,
Greg
Hi, as Ken said, all factory parts, I had an '85 Silvarado gasser with that setup, the metal "core" was knocked out, a plastic, twist lock inset put in and a hose to the factory air cleaner. I know with what you have, that may not work, but if you move things around or anyone else wondered, its...
Hello all, I have been tossing around the idea of getting a set of HMMWV rims for my truck and was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is anything smaller than around a 37" tire that will fit these rims? I do want to lift my truck 4" but fit or not, I don't want 37" tires, that will put...
Hello all, while not a HMMWV owner, I have a 1885 M1008 with a 6.5l turbo diesel in it and have been reading this post with interest. Looking over the pics, I see the two lines coming from the rear of the heads to the fitting going into the crossover on the front of the motor, then the 3rd hose...
I had thought about those, I saw a vid someplace w those, you can remove a "muffler ring" on one of those and almost get a deuce "c" sound. The manual waste gate is about the same was a stock GM, the exhaust flange adapter isn't cheap though
Ken, I can't disagree with any of your points, even with the "advantages" you mention with a multi fuel and a "c", they have the dash sticker saying to allow 5 min cool down before shutting the engine off. I didn't end up getting lucky with the John Deere "C" like I thought I might so it looks...
When I went to my turbo, I put in a stock GM pump (I know, not the best choice in pump, but the price was right) I have an inline filter mated to the input side of the pump, then up to the stock unit on the fire wall and on to the IP, so far, this has been a good setup, while not good for the...
Well, some possible good news for my turbo hunt, while at one of the bog box auto places, I was talking with one of the counter guys I have gotten to know a little bit, he is into tuners, hybrid turbos, massive boost, etc, but he grew up on a farm learning on tractors and such. He knew exactly...
MMmmm I LOVE Rzzazzberries!! :clinto: lol, I did find that if I have my heart set on a Schwitzer #3LD-208. my best bet is one off a small ct motor, it will have a T3 flange, other wise they are T4 or T6, both of which have adapters ut beside the unit itself being more just add to the over all cost.
Gimpy, that is one of the sites I have been doing some reading on. I have not just been listening to videos online, but have been around some older deuces and just like the sounds, however, that is not my only concern. Other options besides a replacement GM8, which ARE really quiet are of...
Thank you both for your replies and time. Barrman, I have done alot of searches and reading on the topic, both from other sites and actual PAPER books!! lol I would have had no idea that these motors could ever handle that type of boost! I have a boost gauge as well as a pyrometer so I feel I...
