Are you sure it's the axle and not the Gov-Loc?

    Automatic only Crankshaft Journal

I've seen Chrysler 383's that didn't have the bore for a pilot bearing but not the 6.2 detroit. The crank works fine.

    4wd Question

At least one of your front wheels should be turning in 4wd. If not, you may have a broken axle in the front.

    Failed turbo install

I'm curious to know if you turned up the injector pump as per Banks instructions? Without more fuel, more air from the turbo will add no power.

Whats my next step? MVA or Not.

FWIW, GL is a licensed dealer & can reassign an SF97.

Whats my next step? MVA or Not.

In Delaware, that won't do it. The party to whom the SF97 was assigned is the only one who can get a title. If he is a licensed dealer, maybe.

    strange bump sound

Are we talking about a n M1008? If your tire pressure isn't balanced, or tire wear is uneven, the Detroit Locker can make noticeable noises.

    intermittent low coolant light

I had the same problem with my new 1009. It wasn't any of the things mentioned and didn't cost a thing to fix. On the right side radiator tank, about 2/3 from the bottom is the sender. The plug that connects to it had some corrosion inside it and it was looser than it should have been. I...

I don't see what propane would do without excess air to burn it.

    Power!!!! Power!!!! 911!!!!!

I'm with Doghead on this one. If you're not going to pump more air into the engine, you're not going to get much more power out. Modest gains can be had by turning the inject or pump up, but without more air, adding fuel will only add polution and kill your mileage. For a significant boost in...

    My M1009 is shuddering.

While you're under there, Also check for worn or damaged tie rod ends. A chassis lube would also be a good idea.

    Are all 6.2 IDI?

Yes all 6.2 diesels are indirect injected. I have no personal experience with the use of alternative fuels in my trucks. I know there are some differences in the civilian 6.2s.

84 M1009 overcharging rear battery and will not idle

Are you sure the battery polarity is correct? For a 24 volt system, the front battery's neg terminal should be grounded to the chassis, and the positive terminal should be hooked to the rear battery's negative terminal. If they're wrong, serious consequences would ensue.

    Trans-Continental Recovery

With 300+ horsepower, a constant speed propeller, not a lot of fuel on board, and only a pilot, a maximum performance takeoff is in itself an aerobatic maneuver. It is easily possible to depart the traffic area above 3000' before reaching the end of the runway.

Scooter, there is a video of my former partner's first solo on U-Tube. To find it just search for Acroduster and look for the Green & White plane.

    Trans-Continental Recovery

Well, if you just count the time from when I got on the Continental 737-800 till I Got back home, it was just a week. The only touristy thing I did was to stop at Meteor Crater on the way back. It was VERY windy there, I lost a brand new GL hat in the desert. Pretty much everything else was...
