help me design a radio shelter

Indeed! Looking forward to seeing it progress. Youll need to clean up the genset AC, its going to be too dirty to power sensitive electronics. The UPS units could do the job there, if they have that feature ( wave form cleanup and minor spike protection) The mix of freqs will provide some...

Retired M925 Finds Home In Seattle Area

Yes, agreed, it is impossible to get a good match. Maybe try sectioning it out? Re-paint a large section so it isnt as obvious. Ill most likely spray the bed. I can get more coats on in less time spraying. Final finish, surprisngly, isnt too different from a brush as long as you have to...

Hey Amer-Team, nice to see you at the rally. Thanks for the compliment. Well, would you believe a brush? I wouldnt get away with that if the paint had any more sheen than it has. 8) But it worked and I didnt need to burn any time prepping for spray, masking, etc.

help me design a radio shelter

Sorry, your right I didn’t provide any mil recommendations, lost my mind...:cookoo:here are some. :soapbox:To digress a moment, that ham radios are tender in nature is a misnomer. I use my FT857D as a manpack radio for “mountain topping” and while the radio shell itself was not ruggedized...

help me design a radio shelter

Comm goals? Your biggest limitation will be antenna size and placement. Some random thoughts; Tuners are a trade off but sometimes cant be avoided. With an autotuner, you can make a cheep CB whip work on 6 and 10 meters. Get an antenna analyzer, it will help a ton. You can roll...

PNW-2012-Fourth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

Also, just wanted to throw in my 2cents on the Parade and Convoy after. Both Mike and Ed really rocked those events. I was amazed that for so many very large vehicles the parade participation went without a single mis-hap or mis-step, which points to it being a well organized effort. Nice...

PNW-2012-Fourth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

Mike, that online roster rocks, apologies for not saying so sooner. Without that roster online, it will be much more difficult to plan out convoys.[thumbzup] Im also very much up for coming down early next year, :driver:to help with chores as needed / where needed ( I can cook, clean, empty...

    Calculating MPG with new Math

Depends. Is your calc for one refueling? Was it (fuel) at the line before the 459.8 miles. If yes then my calculator is giving me the same answer. :D Its very possible to get 12mpg....mostly flat roads, not many stops, keeping the rpms low at speed and good shifting ( thats an auto yes?)...
