I'm not sure about your leak, but I definitely wouldn't worry about your truck blowing up from a fuel leak. I had fuel dripping directly onto my exhaust manifolds (injector drainback lines) for a while, and I never had issues. It simply doesn't get hot enough for diesel to just combust.

I rewired my blower motor switch. I used a 3-way switch as the replacement and installed it next to the volt meter. I left the original intact, for aesthetics. I also painted the trim around the gauges on the instrument cluster, to continue the black/orange theme. The rest of the dash will...
Another thing is that the wiring connectors for the rear lights are bad about coming apart. They are just two cup-shaped rubber connectors, and they easily slip out and become disconnected. At least that's what happened on my truck. I bypassed them and re-wired them, and my taillights are good...
Ah yeah, that's right. The Silverado panels have that stupid leather strap that always break off at the mounting point. I've never seen an old Silverado with one of those intact.
Replaced the fuel drainback tubing today. I used 1/8 tygon from a local hardware store. $5 for 5 feet of it. Done deal.

Painted the outline of the bowtie on my truck's grill. I used Chevy orange paint.

I'm pretty light on the throttle in my 09. I get about 18-20 around town. The truck hasn't gone on a long drive yet (since I've had it at least) but I'd like to see what it does on the highway. I'm running on 33x10.50 General Grabbers; truck is stock otherwise.

Well, the 5/32 didn't hold up that long. After a few days, they started leaking. Although I should admit that I didn't use fuel tubing - I used vacuum lines. So they swelled up from the fuel contact, on top of being 1/32 bigger than the OE fuel tubing. Don't shun me, I know it won't hold up to...
The only thing I can think of that MAY hinder acceleration and fuel economy, is two alternators operating on full load instead of just one. As we all know, an alternator providing full load doesn't spin as freely as one that isn't.
But even then, the difference is so marginal, I really don't...
