HET M1070 Barely Moves, No Guts

It’s been a long time since I sold my HET. I had done it before and it wasn’t a difficult task but I do not remember the procedure right off hand. I do, however, think I remember the tanks being pressurized by the air system in order to be able to help push fuel to the height it needs to go to...

    roof mounted cab AC

After seeing this old thread come back to life I contacted my client to check the longevity status of their Coleman rooftop unit. I believe it went in in 2015, it was still functioning, fully, as of the end of last year when they parked the LMTV (it’s function is not currently required).

    FMTV Pre-Production Prototypes

I had a chance 5 0r 6 years ago to get a hybrid LMTV from a scrapper. I don’t remember exactly why I didn’t but I’m glad some one manage to save one. Look forward to seeing what you do with it.

What did you do to your trailer today.

These trailers are great! I've pulled mine well over 20,000 miles with the stock tires on it. I bought more just to have as spares. You'll be happy with it years to come, it looks good.

    Covered M1102

I thought I'd resurrect an old thread for a testimony of these tough little trailers. Four years after building my top for my M-1102 I have racked up over 25,000 miles on it. It's been throughout WV and across Ky, Tn, Ar, Tx, Oh, Pa and Md. These things pull like a dream, loaded or empty (even...

M1070 info requested. yes< I have searched... any help is appreciated

The M-1070 is and awesome truck. It is not "all wheel drive" it is 6x8 with selectable 8x8. It is heavy, about 41,000lbs. The traction is not great without weight on the rear. The Detroit likes high revving and therefore loves the fuel, mine averaged about 1.2-1.8 mpg in the hills of WV. 47 mph...

    roof mounted cab AC

its been in for three years. It's still working fine and the RV roof top units are only about $550. The inverter is a 12 volt, 3000 watt Xantrex. They cut the turret cover to install it, I tried to get them to make a new plate instead so the turret cover could be saved.

    roof mounted cab AC

I put an inverter in for a client of mine that installed a Coleman unit on theirs. It will run you out of the cab even without insulating the cab any. I'll see if I can find some pictures.
