Ok guys, I've read through the TM and am left with a few sticking points.
I am missing more parts. the shaft that goes into the injector pump, as you can see here is missing.
the exploded views of the IP do not show this end at all.
Is this a part i can get?
and the cover plate that goes...
for a toy like this i would likely have a limit at around $5000... maybe a little more. I prefer the big trucks over the hmmmv anyway but man to not be able to drive it.....30k is out there.
maybe they should start selling them with trailers to tow them!

Appears that it was the valve.
Little airtool oil and let it run for a bit.
Real test set was engaging and disengaging the hand brake with no air release sounds. And of course the warning bell that the novice in me was sure it was still just building air in the tanks.
Maybe my buddy who...
I have an m35a2 with the multifuel engine. I knew when I got it that the head gaskets needed to be replaced. I had originally planned on doing this myself but I don't have the time, space, or tools to tackle this.
If I had a barn large enough at least I could take my time and not worry about...
i have the wheels blocked because of the jacking up and all.
I try not to use hand brakes on anything until i know the condition. one of my first cars, it broke the first time i used it.
where in the TM? if you can give me an idea. thanks again for the help.
also is this a tough thing to do or crawl under the truck and spend about 30 minutes? just trying to plan for the work. if its a quick job i'll just throw a tarp down and deal with the mud :)

I have driven larger truck with air brakes in the past but never had to do any maintenance on them.

I was searching all over for a second tank when I picked up my truck last week. Fuel was all the way up the the strainer and the gauge said I had a half tank. I'm new to this too so I had no idea all the fuel gauges were so unreliable. Looks like there is no reason for me to change it out now...
Really 65 in the 5 ton?
at 58ish, I get an "over speed" warning light and that was going down hill. Do I need to change something to get up to 65?

This is on the short term todo list. We'll likely take some time near the end of October and hopefully the soybeans will be up from the surrounding farm land to give lots of space.
better yet, do like me and buy one of each before you've ever driven one. Then decide. Keep one sell one or keep em both!!!
I felt like like I was ducking jnder the wipers on the 5 ton even and I'm only 6'2"
