What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

TM calls for a nut and washers to pull through. Relatively little force required on this one after cooling the stud. Zero thread distortion I can see in this case. Yeah. Could press in with the hub removed but elected not to in this case.

RR tire was leaking down suddenly. Took 3 attempts to finally identify the valve core as the culprit. Holding just fine now. Lesson learned don’t skimp on soap to water ratio for the spray bottle.

Followed troubleshooting TM for low oil pressure indication. Validated with a mechanical gauge for extra assurance before ordering a new sensor. Plenty of pressure both cold and hot. https://youtube.com/shorts/aWPWo8CzNfY?si=NYUvthszZVFVgr0r

    M1151A1 HMMWV plenum crossover removal

Finished installation of all the body mounts. I was able to reuse all the hardware without having to use longer bolts. 90ft/lbs seems a tad excessive on the mounts IMO. Gather the factory spec wants metal contact between the center sleeve and the lower bushing plate.

    M1151A1 HMMWV plenum crossover removal

Figured I’d upgrade to the REV style mounts. Thanks for the tip on balancer replacement that’s a relief

    M1151A1 HMMWV plenum crossover removal

Body mounts were just slightly compressed 😂 LT valve cover, intake manifold and plenum are back in. Front two mounts are in. Need to address the next (4). Found the balancer has failed - outer ring came off and is contacting the oil pan. Looks like the cooling stack has to come out yet again...

    M1151A1 HMMWV plenum crossover removal

I have the LT plenum and #1,3,5 injector lines off. Stuck on #7 as I can’t seem to get the crowfoot & wrench on from a LT attack position. Really would like to avoid having to remove the RT plenum and even numbered lines just to get #7 off.

    Fan clutch bleeding

Old thread I know. That said, just saw this bleed 🩸 fitting off the CV on my 1151. I don’t recall seeing one on my 998 before.

I’m looking 👀 forward to seeing the old upper mounts out for inspection. From what I can tell they are all significantly compressed
