One difference is that regular squarebodys usually have a radio wiring harness in them, the CUCV will have to be wired from scratch, not a problem,but not plug and play.

Sounds good. I didn't plan on trusting the paint that came on the new inner fenders. I heve some other rust that I have to get after as soon as the weather warms up.

While working on my 1009 I see that I need to replace the inner fender on the passenger side. Does the CUCV use a special inner fender or do the reinforcement brackets for the battery trays come off and can be used on the new inner fender? It doesn't look like there is anything different on...

Finally got my starter back from the rebuilder and installed it. Fired right up. Been too cold to do much with the cobbled up wires to the starter, so I did a couple of temporary repairs and will do a better fix when it warms up. Snowed last night so I was glad that I got it running again...

Not changing the way it's wired, just replacing some of the wires that have been spliced several times. The wire from the firewall to the starter has 4 splices in it!

Ok, I'll lokfor new bolts. Got the starter off this morning (what a pain in the backside, my fat hands don't fit in those tight spaces), taking it to the shop to have it tested. Looking at the support bracket and wondering if this the correct one or something someone cobbled together.

Are the starter bolts special bolts or something that is availible locally?

Missed this post. Haven't used the plow much, hopefully the weather will be mild this winter and I won't have to. Just got it on the road the end of summer, still sorting out bugs. Having starter issues right now.
