Wow! You done good...
Having a picture of where it was before could be helpful. I would install it - matching the marks together - and if you need a little adjustment then go for it. I doubt the timing chain has anything to do with the IP advance.

Hi Ken,
I'm hoping to get a nice shot of the front of the building to use on a book cover.
Nothing special other than that...
No crunch to get it quickly.
Maybe in a week or so?
@juanprado , I could use a pic of the lead up to the building - possibly the front of the building. AND if...

Yes Sir! My frown was about the high cost of shipping the ladder... DANG High! And, just so you know - you won't get "dinged" for a frown. It counts the same as a thumbs up :)
On the other hand, if those stairs sell for $1495 maybe your plan would be pretty attractive.

No Sir. I was thinking you were going to build an overland box on the back of your truck. Figured having cribbing if you ever need to change a tire on the side of the road (or in the woods). Or if you go to set up your truck for sleeping, to drive up onto the boards to level out the...

You will enjoy having "cribbing" readily available. In a box down under the bed of your truck... A bottle jack or two, some 2x10's, and some 4x10's would be nice to have as well. Use a rough cut leftover pieces or several from a saw mill.
.
I would suggest that you point your truck uphill or downhill. That way you can pump it up as far as the cylinder will let you raise the cab. It shouldn't turn over - but why take a chance?

Welcome to the Outfit!
Be sure to download the manuals for your hummer... The "Dash -10" will explain how to start the thing up. So you don't spend money on fried electrical components. The other books offer up troubleshooting flow charts and part numbers. Whatever you do, try to stay...

Wow. Cylinder 6 is pretty well scuffed up. I can't help but imagine that the rings are going to be scratched and causing leak back if you ran a compression test. Several of those cylinders look to me like they haven't been firing for several hours (days, weeks?).
.
That's great news!
Yes sir, more often than not folks will do the right thing - if you don't become an ass. It sure is nice to hear a good ending to that story!
.
I have got to agree with @GeneralDisorder . Your batteries are dead - or almost. These trucks (a lot of them) have a phantom draw against your batteries. My M-1088 will crank after it sits for a week. If it sits for two weeks, it clicks and clacks and won't "go". After about 3 weeks maybe...

Good deal... Just thinking about how much fun it is when a hose goes through a hole - then your try to pull on that hose - to figure out which one is which.
EXCELLENT that he thought it out ahead of time!
.
I don't know if you have any "bell wire" (Ma Bell, the 2 inch stuff that carries traffic to the neighborhood) but It will make life a lot easier if you wrap a piece onto each end of the new hoses. You know... The color coded stuff like you use on Cat5 cable would work too. Blue / Spot Blue...
