I feel ya dan. It seems like you and I are just talking to one another in each others threads. Haha. And my truck is as problematic. Fix one leak, discover another. If its not one thing it is another. You are much deeper into yours though, as far as mods and rebuild. Im just takin my time...

Dan, back to the Meth injection. What pump did you buy? Will it fit through the mouth of a jerry can?

Looks good. I'd be concerned about looking under it all the time though. The wiper motors personally piss me off as I have to look around them. This looks even lower than those, in the line of sight. You are putting in lower seats, so I assume the seat height will clear you of this issue?

Very helpful write up. So am I going to be able to do the same with 100% co2? What gauge steel do you use? So what is in thise rockers that leads to this common issue? My rust is further back, only underneath. It looks like a sandwich of metal layers in there. Where does the water get in?

So Dan, I see your comments in the water injection thread. What and how are you planning on setting that up? I am thinking about getting a 5 gallon water can mounted in the jerry can holder on the drivers door, and tap into that for the water storage. Drop an electric pump like what you got...

Dan. Welding question. I'm a noob welder, and picked up a Hobart 140 mig welder to make my snorkel and patch up my rusty areas on the body. I want to hook up gas. I can get get bottles of 100% CO2 or 100% Argon pretty easily. No mix though. Any advice on what gas I should run it with?

I think house paint is fine for these as well. They aren't show pieces, in the sense of a spotless flawless vehicle. Makes for easier touch up too. House paint has to be durable, you would figure, since it is, ya know, after all, outdoor grade paint. Lookin good Dan, those seats are gonna be...

Why won't the fmtv wheels work with the new centers?

I think 1200 is safe, even sustained. 1300 for short term is fine too. Aluminum melt point is 1220f, keep that in mind, so the egts have to sustain higher than that for a good period of time to do damage. Why the change of heart on the c turbo? If anything, they make less boost. I have a d as...

From reading on here and driving my own truck, it seems like your fuel setting is on the higher side already. 15 pounds of boost I believe is high. People turn up the fuel to achieve that level. For reference my truck pulls about 7 psi max, and I drive it foot to the floor on a couple of long...

Its difficult to say when you have two variables working against you. The fdc and the unseasonably cold temps. I would personally rule those two out before being worried or doing anything else. As for the cold starting, id say locate the cold start tm procedure. Ill try to find it for you when...

    LT. Dan M35a2 Modification Thread

I don't have much to offer other than I let my truck idle over 1000 rpm for a good 15 minutes until it is warmed up. Two or three clicks out on the throttle cable. Unless I pull it out, it idle around 5 or 6 hundred rpm which is too low imo. Its freak in cold out still so I don't find that...

What are you going to do for soundproofing? I have read quite a few threads on here but have not decided which route to take myself.

Have you taken it up to highway speeds? That's where the difference really showed concerning the sound reduction and the muffler for me.

    LT. Dan M35a2 Modification Thread

I kinda felt that way too after I put mine on. But I came to realize that there are way to many other sources of noise from these things. The exhaust is just one of many sound makers. Im sure it still sounds like a deuce. I have the d turbo and consider just getting the c to be distinct deuce...

    LT. Dan M35a2 Modification Thread

Im just holding out for warm weather. When it is above 30 f, mine fires up a lot easier. To further expand on the heater, it leaks onto the turbo when using it, holding the switch when cranking. It doesn't just leak in idle operation. It leaks like that when the flame isn't lit, and it goes...
