Replacement lock washer arrived. Matching numbers and identical. Notice in the second picture that my original one is sitting directly on top of one of the replacements. Light surface rust like the seller promised. I should be able to clean it up easily and quick with a wire wheel.

Maybe this is helpful too: I purchased the hub seals from Oshkosh (~$65 for 2, shipped. A bit steep IMO). They were a good, tight fit, and appeared almost identical to what I pulled out. What I pulled out: Cage: 19207 P/N: 7411429 NSN: 5330-00-741-1429 One has to remove the seal...

For the bearing nut lock washers: Cage: 19207 Part Number: 7411378 NSN: 5310-00-741-1378 Inside diameter measures ~2.65" (obviously meant to go over the 2-5/8" (2.625") spindle for the M105A2 model). The only place I found them is eBay. Just search for "19207-7411378". The first picture is...

That's much better math! So what you're saying is, the seal is fine until you push the trailer out from orbit?

Here's something interesting, I looked up the NSN of this seal on PartTarget.com and it lists the following: Accommodated Shaft Maximum Rated Speed: 3600 feet per minute That's a maximum speed of 3600/5280 = 0.6818 miles per minute, or about 0.6818 * 60 = 41 miles per hour (or ~65.84 kph)...

I sure hope you didn't just pull that cap for me to answer that. I was going to open mine (since I need to anyway), but I do appreciate it most definitely though. Now if we can dig up sources for that tabbed bearing nut lock washer and hub flange gaskets ;)

Awesome, thanks Mr. gringeltaube! I do find it interesting that the NSN for the cup & cone sets you used here was the same NSN as used on Erik's Military Surplus (3110-00-198-1757) , but is different than the NSN Oshkosh lists (3110-01-298-9358). However, both use the same Military Part Number...

And just to help make this more complete for future searchers. Wheel Bearing and Cone Set: $30 NSN: 3110-00-198-1757 http://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/whbeform1m1m.html $28.71 http://www.oshkoshequipment.com/products/detail/160/3776/Trailer-Wheel-Bearing-Kit-for-M103-M105-and-M107...

After searching and searching online, I found Oshkosh claims to have the inner seal that fits (Item #20 from the previous exploded diagram). http://www.oshkoshequipment.com/products/detail/165/5041/Wheel-Hub-Axle-Seal $24.63 each Military Part Number: 7411429 Military Description: SEAL,PLAIN...

So to bump this thread, the M105A2 TM (TM 9-2330-213-14&P), page 4-81 (PDF document page number 137) section 4-49 "HUB, WHEEL, BEARING, AND BRAKEDRUM MAINTENANCE", lists: Socket, wheel bearing, 3-3/8" (the next figure appears that it'll need to be an 8-sided socket) (I find it surprising that...
