The line to the remote fluid reservoir is connected to the master cylinder where the vent fitting was. So as long as the new remote master cylinder has to have a vented cap, you're good to go.

Thanks for all the good ideas guys. I've spent a lot of time looking for the perfect tank to use for this application, and I've pretty much settled on this 2-quart aluminum coolant recovery tank from Canton Racing Products. I'm thinking that I'll use the bottom port to feed the master cylinder...
