    . The hose in mine looks like a "regular" old AC hose. Doesn't look special at all to me. Not plastic like Synflex but that would work too - and that stuff supports 3000psi. Like you said, it is a long run all the way out to the back but at 30+ years old mine still makes lots of cold air...
