I used a 4" latch because it had a little more throw than a shorter latch. It is a tight fit in there though.
I lined it up on the back to mark the holes and used lock nuts so it wouldn't come loose. All the metal in that area is pretty thin so the drilling is fairly easy.
I am very happy with...
This is my cheapy door lock. It is a 4" gate latch that will accept a padlock if so desired. The hidden installation is key to the system.
I just did the drivers door and combat lock the passenger door. I have a soft top but every little bit helps.
I drilled a 2" hole and mounted the latch...

I am sure that it breathes better with the cap facing forward. I would have to test it facing backwards just to keep bugs and stuff from flying right into it. The screen seems a bit big to let stuff fly right in.
NAPA sells a replacement heater fan. Be warned though, they ordered mine and charged me shipping to their store. If I had known that I would have had it sent to my house.
PN 655-1320 and cost me $55 w/ shipping. $37 before shipping and tax. You just have to hook up a ground wire, besides that...
I replaced my blower motor. I wasn't sure if it worked when I bought the truck or not until I replaced it. It works great now so it was burnt up when I got the truck.
