Oh you can update donations from other sources on the gofundme account so people can see how close you are to your goal.

I think many military veterans not just us collectors would see the merit in your efforts. I think you should try a crowd funding site such as www.gofundme.com this way you can blog about your efforts, and promote our hobby and about the need to preserve our historic vehicles in general nation...
