you can - the machine time will take longer and they will be rediculously heavy. I really don't think it would ever be necessary. most adaptor plates people are using are 1/2" steel - these are 1.25" thick aluminum.
i dug up my CAD file for the adaptor last night and the info for the guy who...
why 7? these aren't something that you'd leave bolted to the wheels. it would stay on the hubs. yeah one machinist posted in this thread - I'll have to dig up the info of the one who made my set who is likely closer to you.
one picture showing why how the center hole in the 10 lug wheels overlaps the studs of the 6 lug wheels.
also one picture showing a surprise... 32 count of 1/2 oz lead wheel weights. it was only on one of the fmtv wheels. I've never seen a strip of weights on a military wheel this size...
Really dropped the ball on this one guys - finally finishing the install on these this month.
I severely under estimated the time required by two little boys being born as well as the reduced mental capacity that lack of sleep causes.
still haven't installed mine - it's been on the bottom of the priority list
at the time that I had them made it cost about 200 per wheel including all the new studs, lug nuts and mounting hardware.
scrub only shifts out 1.25" which when should actually correct the scrub radius when adding taller tires.
only thing holding me up at this point is getting a primary driver on the road that needs a head gasket and timing chain job. once that is on the road the deuce is my priority.
I did...
sadly the deuce hasn't been my priority so i haven't had time to install them yet. heck i haven't even had time to install the new 24v wiper motors and that's an easy one.
weather is finally warming up so i can work on my truck again. should be installing the front two adapters in the next few weeks.
I have the studs pressed into the adapters - just need to get the hubs off the truck to press the old studs out.
what I have available right now is standard 5 ton wheels with 11x20 mounted tires.
eventually i'll replace those with 22.5 wheels and commercially available on/offroad retreads.
nope sorry - between family, work, and odd weather (no shop big enough for deuce) I haven't been able to install my set yet.
I'm hoping to get some weather to be able to atleast install the front 2 wheels soon.
