Thanks Castle, I do believe this is how I want to go as well having suffered through a transformer-rectifier ugly failure. Did you use the alternator and equalizer from the M916A1's -20P, and if not, what p/ns did you select so we don't have to reinvent the wheel? Thanks.
Inflate the bag, place cribbing in between the cab and frame, deflate, remove. Might be a standard OTR truck item. A lot easier than replacing the stock rubber bushings which I am faced with on my 916. They are AWOL. Thanks to wsucougarx I am all fixed up with new ones. Now comes the...
Castle Bravo, does your truck still use the 24 volt part of the 12/24 alternator? I can see it in the pic, but I do not know why you would still need it with the battery equalizer. Reason I ask is my alternator just fried and the replacements with the piggyback 24 volt rectifier are big bucks.
