Thank you. I have checked it twice - once, after I accidentally connected the power lines to 24V and got code 53 among others - which put me into LIMP mode. After correcting the wiring mistake, I checked again and got NO codes (just 12 over and over).
Well, now that I said that - yesterday the light was flickering while driving at first, then just stayed on, solidly lit. ***sigh***
I will take it out again this evening and see what I get, lol.
So, I am leaning heavily towards removing electric fan and replacing with this: hydraulic fan clutch delete kit
I will need to order fan shroud as well and I see hummer parts guy has them as well as remanufactured regulators on sale, so I might get both from them for the free shipping...

Wow - glad I went back to review this thread, as I missed this post the first time - thank you!
I am a lifetime Austin-area resident. Spent first 50 yrs in Austin before moving to LH 3 years ago. I live approx. 10 miles from the family ranch we had growing up on 1431. Great memories and yes...

Yeesh. No reinstalling mechanical fan threads that I could find, lol. Any suggestions?
I think I will just save up and do the mechanical fan reinstallation and replace the radiator and install electric pusher fan... Thanks for the emphatic recommendation!
Thank you!!! This is exactly what I need because I am an ignoramus when it comes to this stuff, lol. Love learning from "the right way" rather than mistakes.
So, I opened up my blinker-thingy ("assembly"?) and have some fried wires.. Tried stripping and reconnecting but still nada. Guess I add that to the list of crap I need to order, lol.
Yeah, tell me about it. Once I confirm 200 A generator is good I will go shopping. I already looked at prices, which is why I thought a NEW 400 amp generator WITH new regulator was such a great deal at almost the same price as just a new regulator for my 200 amp.
Well, OK! Thank you for keeping out of trouble! Glad I asked. Any advantage to the additional two batteries? I hate for them to go to waste...
I for sure was going to get a 24V winch - as well as AC. Any recommendations on inverters? I am looking to (eventually) put some sound bars in...
