I usually have a long fuel hose for the MBU's that can be cut down. It uses 1/4 inch Parker-Hanifin connectors, so if you need another size you'll have to bring it. GI hose is 20 feet, I've found five is plenty!

We tried shooting for breakfast at 7am, lunch at 1pm and supper at 7pm, with a 1.5 hour window at each meal. For Saturday night's baked potatoes, we started working on them at 1pm, while feeding folks, first batch went into the oven at 2, rest at 3. Sometimes Murphy slips in on us and we are...

From Washington, DC, get on I-95 South to I-20 West (being sure to strictly observe the speed limits in NC), get off at exit 148 in Georgia, turn right onto Hwy 22, then follow the directions I posted earlier the rest of the way into DT. In a car, not in a convoy with slow MV's, Tampa is an...

ROBO, if you stay on I-20 East (toward Augusta) till the 148 (Crawfordville) exit, the directions are easy. Turn left off the exit road onto Hwy 22, go through Crawfordville, over the railroad tracks and down the road a total of about 9,6 miles to a four way stop intersection with Hwy 44. Turn...

Tigger Memorial Pics I've printed off the following pictures that I have (and many furnished by Cabell Garbee) from the ZOUT cookout a couple of years ago and the Denton, NC rally earlier this year. Has anyone else gone through Clinto's annual photo gathering from previous rallies to print off...

if you're on an unimproved campsite the cost is $15 per night (per campsite, for up to three people). I slept in the back of a deuce on a GI cot before - if you plan to take this route, bring a sleeping bag as Georgia nights can get chilly. That would save $160 in lodging. And you'll get...

Purchase a meal card with part of your BAS and report any extra Uncle pays you as income. Just like I did when I went TDY while on active duty.

Couple of meal developments. 1. I've already bought most of the non-perishable food, with just the perishable items left, so prepaying is not necessary. Perishables will be bought on Monday, Oct 6 2. Contacted Jason about the Low Country Boil on Wednesday, and he will not be able to attend...

Your buddy, poppop! He saves a bag out just for the rally. We both get to smile when we offer some to the yankees, who turn several shades of colors (at the same time) I have trouble describing once they realize the peanuts are NOT roasted. We've converted a few of the stronger souls. As...

Although it's been at least two weeks since there was a post on food, let's keep that part open till after the Labor Day holiday, in case some folks have missed it. Not very many picky eaters have voiced their opinions yet, and if they do not wish to do so publicly, they can send me a PM...

Just a heads up for those who have suggestions for meals on the MKT. What the MKT does is cook a small variety of things in large quantities. I have two ovens that can either be cooking a squarehead pan (like the ChiliMac is cooked in) or a big pot (small one is 10 gallons, large one is 15...

According to the PRC site (http://www.prc68.com/I/RC292.shtml) my antenna has a range of 36 miles (in all directions) when erected. That means we could reach Greensboro, Athens, Lexington, Washington, Warrenton, Sparta, and probably Eatonton - Durhamtown ain't that big! Formula Pi x R squared...
