Just did pawnshop's spin-on filter mod. We'll see if it starts up on the first try tomorrow.
Yep, that fixed it. Started up on the first try, with gusto.
Installed a step-down voltage regulator off of the 24V bus bar in the back seat, chinese blue-tooth reciever/amp off of that, and a couple of decent radio shack bookshelf speakers on top of the rear wheel wells.
I think the blue-tooth thing was like 12 dollars and the voltage regulator was...
Put a piece of garden hose or pex around the little cylinder the door latches to. I think they're supposed to have a piece of hard plastic there but they're always MIA.
I put garden hose on my 1009, and the doors latch fully closed with less force than on my 2004 silverado pickup.
