Like little old women. It's too hot. It's too cold. It's too dry. It's too wet.
Bring something to keep cool, warm, moist, and dry and you'll be all right!
Chasing the perfect weather in Georgia is like chasing a squirrel while wearing a bilndfold. You're just going to get dizzy and...
LOL!
I remember working on the ports in Amsterdam in the late 1980's during a "REFORGER". Brrrrrrrrr! That's some rough weather in January! I remember we stayed in one of your military kasernes or bases, and the big tubs of chocolate on the tables for breakfast and friendly people. Good times. :-)
I have a deck of vehicle recognition cards I'll bring next yr.
Ya'll keep the rally in Oct, I start saving money for Christmas in Nov.
Naaa, I don't spend $$ on anyone for Christmas!
scottgs had his buddy drive that LAND ROVER down from Tn, thing has a V8 with an overdrive.
It sat in the "back 40" in the LAND ROVER'S quarantine area. :D
It's been great watching the rally grow each year and I just talked another MV owner (LR Lightweight) to attend next year! If we each get 1 MV owner who didn't know about the rally or isn't on this forum (yes, some folks aren't on SS)to come we'd have almost 300 vehicles show up next yr!! Start...
Speaking of having everything.
What was the name of the dealer/vendor out in the field that had all the antenna sections and masts. Over on the far side(near the main road) in the little recessed area. Suffering from CRS here.
Thanks
I agree with Wheelspinner and TMNT. Just have some set times for the key events posted. When you show up at the rally you can make note of anything you would want to participate in and plan accordingly. Kinda' sux returning from an ice, fuel, food run and always missing something. Seems like a...
Ok,you can't say a PA system issue caused the hickups. What good is a PA to everyone camping in the woods and in the cabins where you can't hear it? You can't expect folks to just sit at the CP waiting for something to happen or jump through their a$$ when they happen to spot some trucks fixing...
Thanks Dumpster and Squirt-Truck for all your hard work on the trail rides. Wished we could have attended more of them, maybe next yr the CP will be more informed and organized and a little more helpful.
WiFi down and DT won't fix it? WTF? It ain't like they don't have the $$ to fix it!
We were depending on that, the wife was planning on working on her masters degree out there while I wander around buying stuff I can't afford.
Well %$^*&!!
