    Yes, you can jump it using the slave port. Of course you can pull start it too. It will run without any batteries.

    No need to pull the exhaust. Just unhook the wires going to it. Then remove the two bolts securing the starter to the engine and remove the starter. There is also relay K2 involved with the starter operation.
