    You can, but to be safe I always put a UPS or line conditioner between the electrical outlet and the sensitive device.

    Thanks for all the information guys. I really appreciate it. Got all the wiring done and tested it out. Works like a champ. I used 50' of 4 gauge 4 conductor wire for the hookup. Also drove an 8' grounding rod and hooked it to the chassis ground lug.

    In regards to keeping fresh batteries you might want to look into a desulfator battery maintainer/charger. On my MEP-803A I have a 24-Volt Solar Battery Charger/Desulfator from PulseTech. High frequency pulses reduce the size and number of lead sulfate deposits on the battery plates so...
