The dude with that tow bar is stuck. He paid that for it in a bidding frenzy. (He may actually be in the hole @ current price). It's was on CL still today. He made it way easier for me to sell the NOS ones I had, though.

Anybody know if WA's "We mirror CA environmental laws automatically" law will apply to this: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?100330-California-Title-Registration-Diesel-Smog-Law-and-GL-loadout-info-for-M35-Deuce-5-Ton&p=1640675#post1640675

Wouldn't matter anyways. If chains required except AWD, AWD is required to carry one set of chains. WA-542 and WA-410 require all vehicles carry chains in all conditions 11/1 to 4/1. Like I said, it's a complex diagram. Had to pass on a group event on 11/1 since it required crossing the...

I think the 10K restrictions will trump the AWD. But call WSP... They'll be the ones stopping and turning you around. Heck, 3/4 the time they're not even setup enforcing whatever restriction WSDOT has in place. Of course, the worst I've driven in going to Snoqualmie was when there was no...

Which pass? It's a complex diagram. Get a set of chains. For a CUCV, that covers all the squares.

WA means not summer. So all season good. OR seems to require MTN + Snowflake which iirc is mostly snow tires.

Hood looks to be in a Snow Zone. Current conditions @ Government Camp: Current Chain Restrictions: Carry Chains or Traction Tires US26 MP 42.5 - MP 60 Mt Hood (Elev. 3995') - Zigzag to Jct with OR35 Minimum Chain Restriction: Carry chains or traction tires regardless of conditions...

TireChain.com http://www.tirechain.com/V-BAR.HTM Spendy. ~500 a set for 395/85R20 shipped. And it would. WA's chain law is for 10K+ Gross weight. Must carry one set of chains + 2 spare chains. http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/commercialvehicle/chain_req.htm I soooo would spend the fuel money to pull...

Yeah, WA requires two sets carried in the passes 11/1 to 4/1. At $200 a set w/ tensioners I'm waiting a season.
