If your leaking that much engine oil into the combustion chamber to fire it off, you have more problems then just a injection pump installed wrong which was the original problem. Contrary to popular belief, it takes quite a bit of oil to fire off a diesel. Usually the turbo is leaking.

What you need to consider is 1) The engine will not be going 3600 rpm. 2) When you shut-off an engine, it will slow down and stop much faster since the compression is NOT helping to turn the crank. Just for grins and giggles, go out and check your truck. See how fast it will stop turning after...

Now that is a handy size ! With a remote activated switch, it would work like a champ.

I think that is a good idea you have there Reaper, using a CO2 extinguisher with an emergency kill switch. That could be a Life (engine) saver !
