Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

There is one thing I can guarantee about the weather, no matter what dates are chosen......we will have some. Right now from the comments I have seen the general (most) want the dates the same. In hindsight it is actually a minor miracle that the dates are optimum in lining up with everything...

Yep, under a tent fly like almost everyone else in the swap meet area. It isn't like we don't have some of the smartest people in the world when it comes to preparing for an event like this, because we do. I have only heard one complaint about the heat this year. Would I like for it to be 72...

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

Yes, dates to come out soon since we want to be in snow instead of the great weather we had this year. I didn't believe PATracy when he said it was 88 one day because it felt like 78 to me and I HATE hot weather. It was the nicest SSGR in the 5 I've been to.

Did anyone have a Pinzgauer at the rally? I ask because someone said that one drove past us but I don't remember seeing it.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank my staff from this year's rally. It was an honor to serve as the CO for the 2014 SSGR. Thank you to: Recovry4x4 SCSG-G4 Steve6x6x6 EMD567 CARNAC (He helped without even being there.) AMGeneral72 Gimpyrobb RMTaunton Papabear and the CAMO Crew...

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

They should be either 50A RV or 30A RV. A standard RV should just be able to plug in. In our case at the CO tent we have electric only at B7 and I picked up a 30M to 15F show we can plug in without and RV. We carry a 50M to 30F adapter dongle in our RV just in case...

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

Well with Gimpy's Deuce issues and me being tired tonight we didn't get as much loaded as we would have like and I said let's just leave when we are ready. If there is anything I have learned in the last two months it's that we shouldn't kill ourselves trying to do the things we like. Instead...

Next year I'm going down ten days early to beat Ron. Just kidding Ron, I know you need the alone time to collect your thoughts and practice flipping burgers with the wrecker. ;-)

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

Here is the organizational chart for the rally this year. Familiarize yourself with it. There may be copies at check-in or not and you may want to print it out. We will have it at the tent in hard copy regardless of whether we have enough to give everyone a copy. If you volunteered your...

No wrecker operations inside the compound after the start of the rally. Just a reminder that this year they must be done back by the campground in the open area. Prior to the start I don't see an issue.

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

Any and all wrecker operations will be handled by the special operations group. Ron won't be doing them on his own so please remember that. No wrecker ops will be performed anywhere inside the main field this year. They will be done in the area past the registration/command tent back the road...
