I am wondering if anyone has successfully replaced a deuce radiator with one from a more common, commercial truck or bus. Has anybody here tried this ? Or ,have you ever seen a radiator in an other truck and thought "Hmm that might fit well in a deuce"? My main thought here is to find a less expensive replacement (new or used) for my trucks. One other question for all, has anyone ever fit a 5-ton radiator into a deuce?

DH, I got a big radiator from a chevy c60. Want pics with measurements? If you think it will work, I can send it up.

No, 809 series has a different radiator than the multi 5 tons.

Thanks for the offer Gimpy! I have a GMC 6000 here(same as a C60). I don't think it will fit but I guess I should at least measure it to compare (must wait until this tropical heat wave passes). I don't think it would do the deed though.

So, could the 5 ton multi-fuel radiator fit in to a deuce?(not like they are easily found). I do have one Deuce with an LDS and I might want to add some cooling capacity to that truck if it was easy. I may try to get a quote on a new aluminum radiator custom built!

I'd check to see how many rows it has, if the tubes were similar size, same orientation. Then ask if you could use the core with the deuce top & bottom. I don't see why its such a stretch, but I am no radiator man either.
