What tools to buy?

Or just get a good mechanic and make him do all the work.

lol! I would kill to have all three of those - and a driveway big enough to fit them all!

I'm going to try and get an air compressor off of Craigslist, as the new 20 to 30 gallon ones are pretty dang expensive. With air I can grind, sand, and paint the rig as well, which is fairly attractive. So is not having to muscle off the lug nuts when I get around to switching to Super Singles.

First I should buy that TM though... Gonna go search the forums and see if there are any here for sale... I know there has to be!

Im learning fast that most of the tools i need are the typical sae stuff that you'd need to work on any old vehicle. However, there are the big heavies that a truck repair shop would have. Big impacts, yes, a robo is on the way and i have a couple geared lug wrenches. Even one of those super hreat tranny lifts. I picked up a 109&35 in under a week so im on a steep learning curve too. Most of it is "tinker-ers tools" though. However, im a seasoned welder with my own field rig, so tools are plentiful here. I built a 6x12 trailer and put a utility truck bed on it to hold most of my tools and welding equipment. Theres no better single source of info than here so...

There are probably multiple threads, I've seen them in the past. As far as the TM's, there are multiple ones for different degrees of difficulty on this site.
Something I haven't seen mentioned on this thread is a compressor wrench for
adjusting the belt tension.
When selecting your impact wrench, get the most FT-LB your compressor can drive(CFM).

You will find that 99.9% of the deuce questions, problems and answers have been covered in depth in multiple threads. I'd definitely practice your "search kharma" and spend a few hours each night reading up on threads. If you spend a couple weeks pouring through the deuce forum, you'll be amazed at how much you will have learned when that time is over.

Yes they are air hogs!!

I have this setup on my deuce. I hook it up to the compressor at home and gladhand it when I am not near a electric compressor. It does take a while to fill and you aren't gonna move fast, but it beats wrenching by hand.

I have all sitting in a cargo box in the back of the truck, ready to go.
