Where can you buy parts for the M101A2 trailer at? Can parts be bought from local auto stores or trailer stores? How much do brake drums and shoes run? Does anyone know the bolt size needed to pin the brakes? Thanks

From another trailer is where most people get their trailer parts from. You might take the parts into a good parts store and find something that might work.

Or, if you were more specific, people could help you find the specific part you needed from the different vendors that have them.

For instance, you mention brake drums and shoes. Here are some parts sources listed by SSer NCdeerejeep in another thread.

Here are the Bearing Numbers.

LARGE BEARING/RACE

Inner Bearing 25580
Inner Race 25520

SMALL BEARING/RACE

Outer Bearing 2585
Outer Race 2520

GREASE SEAL

10-36 (double Lip)

The bearing and race numbers are for Timken. They are more expensive. I used china bearings in mine.

Here is a good source for parts. http://www.etrailer.com/

Also, to disable the surge brake capability, you just put the pin or bolt in the hole on the surge brakes, and that keeps it from activating.
You also put this same pin in when backing up, so it doesn't activate.

Etrailer.com has a few parts as Dell pointed out or find someone scrapping a 101.
