Who has shortened the frame and slid the axles forward on a cargo chassis to make it the same wheel base as the dump truck? I have a m54 and found a dump set up off a m51 that id like to mount on it but I want it to look right.

If I could find a complete dump for a reasonable price I wouldn't do it. Also trying to find a mack powered one would be even harder.
If i looked at everything correctly the tandems have to go a foot forward and the frame has to be shortened 3 foot.

I have done the opposite on a m813 i made my wheel base longer. The cross member moves easily enough once all the rivets are out and i would highly recommend a mag drill to drill out the new holes. I would think the hardest part would be getting the drive line right.
