Batteries Blew Up & Caused A Fire

If you can negotiate to keep the truck, the process is not difficult in La. I bought back my "wrecked" tahoe for a sum subtracted from the settlement. The title and registration is cancelled and marked salvage. You make repairs to make it road worthy, bring to LSP for inspection. Basically...

    M998 Alternator Help

typically the cases are stamped with letters/symbols for the wiring. The smooth post is usually a tach. Prestolite tech support might be willing to help?

    M998 Alternator Help

That looks like a prestolite /leece- neville alt. It could be off civilian 24v construction equipment. Is there any other tag or numbers?

    M989 vs M989a1

fyi. there is an extension they made for the lunette so it would not rub the corners at extreme angels on some of the prime movers. Search on here for more info as not my threads but I recall seeing the info.

    M101A2/3 VIN NUMBER?

ditto, I bought a trailer salad m101 out of ft Polk. A1 or older running gear, A2 tongue and surge ( useless with a1 axle) no data plates at all for the m116 or m101. A2 bed but older round taillights and the separate little black out light. I just "created" my own data plate info, got it...

Batteries Blew Up & Caused A Fire

Pure Speculation on my part. A malfunctioned charger that overcharged the batteries to the point of boiling out all the fluid, then boom. Saw this on the old school manual chargers ( non smart) that could cook a battery if forgotten and constant "on" in my previous lifetime with parts and...

Anybody been to the WWII Museum in New Orleans?

We do 2 events. One is an open day that scouts in uniform get in free. We also rent the freedom pavilion one night for a $200k fundraiser. I have never captured a pic of scouts outside in the entrance. They are working on the main entrance remodel and have everyone entering temporarily through...

Anybody been to the WWII Museum in New Orleans?

Ditto, I have a BSA event there every year. Somewhere here I posted pics previously of some mv's from one of my events and the planes suspended by cables. Really cool place and keeps growing and changing.
