Emerson a long time defense contractor appears to be at least a part owner in Chenowth at the time the FAV was developed.
Please understand the FAV was developed completely outside of normal military doctrine, they wanted something fast so they bypassed all protocol, I suspect that is why it was officially called the "Fast Attack Vehicle Surrogate"
