my advice help someone move or pull a tree out of a yard on saturday. Or pick up mulch or sand to level a swimming pool. Everyone has a need for an old cargo truck occasionally but not everyone has one. Be nice and offer to help and you might meet some nice people and get to help in the process.

I think most people are intimidated by military vehicles because they cant understand why someone would have one and the imagination starts rolling. Its kinda hard to questions the motives of someone who glabbed three tons of mulch for your wifes flower beds and saved you five trips to the landscaping supply.

yeah i would love to pull them out and put them in their place but i dont think all four of their brand new dodge ram 3500s are going to get stuck and yes it does fallow every law rule regulation or ordinance that cop sat in front of my house for almost two hours trying to get me with something all that happened was he was directed over to the low boy and left I guess the most of the problem is is that everyone moved back into the country after their kids were in college and so now im one of the few rednecks still here the stupid thing is my dad lived in this house when you could look out the window and watch the cattle that broke loose running down the road i believe he is the only one of the original people here although he moved and now i have the house no one ever said anything when he was here though

I see you're in Washington. I guess you will have the opportunity to pull one of those complainers out of a snow bank sooner or later. Don't take anything in return for that little neighborly help. That'll probably turn them over to your side, and the "terrorist" becomes a "good guy".

I joined my city's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT.) I went to a meeting and mentioned I was going to move the deuce to my hanger. They sent me two letters asking me to keep it at home where it is more accessible. So my advice....join up in your town. If my snotty neighbors are complaining, it hasn't reached my ears.

I would just suggest waiting them out, if they are truely unreasonalbe to talk to. I also like the idea about checking with the City/County CERT. never hurts to get the authorities on your side.

I had this problem out of my neighbor (the other 3 sides of my property border a plantation) one time. I simply told him that it was my business and he didn't need to worry about it until I got stupid enough to knock his house off it's foundation. It's never been brought up again and I park my truck wherever I care to in my yard. Of course, out in the sticks, we don't have HOA's. We just have our land and it's normally more than a 1/4 of an acre like folks in subdivision's have.

The problem is, alot of HOAs have a bunch on power. They can basicly make up whatever rules they want to, even after the fact. If the HOA is out to get you, about the only only way you can get them off of you is either to sell the offending vehicle(s) or move.

I've had a few "city folk" neighbors move in around me. They've tried to start trouble with some of my other neighbors but they don't bother me. Sometimes it's not a bad thing to be considered the local MV/gun nut ;). Everybody around me has been broken into except me. I can't help but think that part of the reason is all the MVs around and gunfire heard from time to time at my place. Which house would you rather rob? The one with the peace sign in the yard or the house with all the MVs sitting out front.

Im in the N half of MI , live in the middle of 30 acres and my property has a strange clause with the building and zoning so in short they cant say crap to me about any thing . Property is classed " special use " this was done years ago when we proved we had scrap on the property prior to there zoning laws .

Now today they cant quite figure out what " special use " was suppose to be and i still run a company on the property so they just ignore me .

Neighbors never complain about any thing . I have the only larger parcel of land in the neghbor hood , they need some where to play with there quads ect.
