Dyed Diesel / off road fuel.......

Pennsylvanis has added a tailpipe sniff to determine the sulfer content of the fuel being used. Anything over the current 15 ppm on road content is trouble. Our off road fuel is 15 ppm sulfer now also. The sniffers give them the chance to check on you to see if you're running 500 ppm home...

    Wiper motor question

I see lots of M151 wiper motors for sale........they look like the ones in my M715. Does anyone know if they will fit up ok in the M37? Would the old wiper arms fit or would you need to change them as well? Thanks: Dave

Ever clean out the air tanks?

Not sure if these folks would do air tanks or not, but if they would, it could be a good and most likely a permanent fix. I know they can do wonders for gas tanks. Dave Moyer Fuel Tank Renu - antique gas tank repair restoration, classic car gas tanks GASTANK

1000 Watt coolant heater in water pump casting question

I think the best you are going to do is the 600 watt. Even the 750's get too long in some of the pumps. If you want a higher wattage heater, you're going to have to go with an actual block heater in the right rear frost plug. Dave

    Progressive Insurance

This topic recurs continually. We all post the same stuff each time. I tried USAA, (which is who had insured all my vehicles). They said no way to the deuce. Same for State farm and again for Allstate and Travelers. Funny thing is that when I ended up with Gulfway, it is actually a...

    Geico insurance- Need help

USAA would not insure mine, despite 5 existing vehicles on the policy and 23 years with them. Same for State Farm...... I ended up with Gulfway (an agent for Travelers). I think what goes depends on your agent. I've learned lots about insurance coverage over the years. Bottom line, ask lots of...

    Time for a new top

Well at 14 years old my last purchased canvas top on the trusty 715 gave out under heavy ice and snow. I dont remember now who I got it from. It was a newly produced item. Does anyone out there have a recomendation as to who to buy from now. I'd love to get a hard top, but they seem hard to find...

    Homegrown Tow Bar

I thought about doing much the same thing and asked some time ago for some dimensions of an original to work with. Never did get any info and other projects took over. I'd still be interested in a "blueprint" of a factory towbar to work on as time permits. What you've got so far looks great...

    Intank fuel pump

I took a chance on a used take out from an E-bay seller. It ran for about two weeks or so. A lot of take outs are probably removed for a reason. I won't take a chance on another. I picked up a NIB pump for cheap ($30) but have not have a chance to get it in yet. I tried the inlines. the ones...

    HiLift'in

The Hi Lift is a great tool, I've got several. The front bumper of your truck and the jack will make up the best manual tire bead breaker you could ever have. Just some words of caution..... Keep it in top shape! Watch the pins and keep it well oiled. Keep your body and head out of line with...

    M35A2 Insurance.. Got it!

I've had all my vehicles insured with USAA for over 20 years, but they would not touch the duece no matter who I talked to. I got the third party insurer thing as well,(comercial insurance and an outragous price!), Insuring with Gulfway was a breeze. That was all a few years ago now! Dave

Help I need the cup in the fuel filters

Another option is to use one of the epoxy metals like Belzona super metal, locktight cold weld, JB, etc. I've had good success on pumpshafts and the lke. Just make sure it's clean, (sandblast and wash with something like 111 Trich). It can then be filed, tuned, or surface ground flat...
