    mine does the same. i always put it into second right before it stops moving. slides right in. if i dont its just like yours. a crap shoot if it will go back in.

    mine does the same. never misses a beat, but loud as ****. are these something that a transmission shop can rebuild? id hate to buy a new one, and have the same problem now that I know that there is one.

    i had one of my uppers fall off. truck made a funny noise above 40, but other than that i never knew it had fallen off until i got under the truck to check something else. i went ahead and got 6 new ones. rods and all. i feel much more comfortable now.

    maybe the starter was round. that way if you got in a bind you could take it off and throw it at somebody.
