thanks everybody for the responses. i think im gonna go grab some more jack stands, and just take all the wheels off the truck. probably go through everything while im there. wheel cylinders, lines, ect. ive been wanting to paint it, so until i find an air pack may as well do something...

i think some people just see brakes in a post and flip out. you could start off with "i went to autozone and bought some brake pads for my wife's blazer" YOU'RE GONNA KILL SOMEBODY!!! 14000 LBS!!!

mine does the same. i always put it into second right before it stops moving. slides right in. if i dont its just like yours. a crap shoot if it will go back in.

mine does the same. never misses a beat, but loud as ****. are these something that a transmission shop can rebuild? id hate to buy a new one, and have the same problem now that I know that there is one.

i had one of my uppers fall off. truck made a funny noise above 40, but other than that i never knew it had fallen off until i got under the truck to check something else. i went ahead and got 6 new ones. rods and all. i feel much more comfortable now.
