    finally found one...

    searched for months,and had to drive 3.5 hours to get it,but i now have my winter project for the m-1010. 4-bta,complete with adapter,wave ring,mounts,a trans i don't need,and an updated lift pump.it's a ve pump,but p-pumps for a 4b are really rare up here.

    something odd...electrical hickup.

    had a floodlamp go out on my m-1010.it's the passengeer side one,on the ambulance body.thinking it's a simple burnt out bulb...so i remove the entire flood assembly and test for continuity with my multimter.surprised to find that the bulb is good. now i think that i have a bad ground,as these...

    crossover steering...

    Finally got a free day to install my crossover setup from northwest fab.everything went well except the tie rod was 2 inches to long...a trim with a zip wheel and all was well. al thats left is a test drive and some means to install the steering stabalizer.

    changed fan clutch today,installed a 7-blade fan while i was in there. if any one is curious,the fan mounting holes measure thusly (with a measuring tape...not super precise but really close) mounting hole center to center...2-9/32" mounting hole center to center diagonal...3-1/4" fan center...

    M-1010 update...flex.

    opened up the lower corners of the front fenders a bit,and took an inch of the back.i can now work the chasis a little more. Something is limiting front travel,however.perhaps the front shocks are limited in up-travel due to the crappy factory mounts.the front spring rate is definitely too stiff.

    I can't seem to find a-lot of info on 6.2 diesels and how well they'd take b-100,homebrew bio or WVO. any thoughts? Homebrew bio is likely what i'll end up with (at least in summer).
