That is the correct GM part number for the 4WD indicator switch. Take the nut off the side of the transfer case lever. That will get the shift lever out of your way. Then when you have the shifter and the lever out of the truck you can work on the cotter pin and replace it after you remove it. It will be easier at eye level on a work bench. Replace the switch on the transfer case and reinstall the lever and shifter. The lever only goes back on one way. Put the lever back on the transfer case and reinstall the shifter. Good luck give that a try.
