I used the search function and could not come up with a part number for a 1986 m1009 drivers side alternator, any help?

Honestly guys... I would NOT buy one from Autozone, or the likes. You can get one at NAPA, but it will cost you. I know its handy to get them local, but they are usually 'junk'.
Mike at OD Iron carries them, and even has a high output one if you were to choose...

like mang said.. the auto zone will work but has a higher excite RPM then the "stock" military and could flash the charging light from time to time at low idle. Mine is working fine and charging as it should but will flash the charge light when low idle and high load. the volt meter does not go down but it never did that with the stock unit. If I had to do it over I would have got one from ODIRON.. but its still nice to know the other way to go incase you cant wait to get it replaced like me.
