Cab bows for less than $2 apiece

Hello guys. I recently got a canvas top from another member, and discovered that I only had one bow..... well, I am 1000 miles from nowhere, and had to think of something to fab more bows from. God forbid I actually wait a week for the correct parts.

I went to a TSC- type place and bought a couple electric fence posts. They were $1.99 each, (which is actually a bit high).

Believe it or not, they are the same diameter, and can easily be cut down, heated, and bent to the correct shape. Just weld a washer on at the proper spot, throw some O.D. on them, and go. I'm sure the purists would disagree, but oh well.....

I will now do the 5-bow upgrade, and get change back from a $5 bill.

Hey great idea ! Looking for a top myself. My IHC 1953 M139 used to have one on it, long gone now .
