Got the shoe from Garbee (thanks again). Disassembled the assembly, put it in the glass bead cabinet, cleaned it up, painted it fresh OD green. Cleaned out the inside of both shoes, put some fresh grease on the shafts, reassembled.
I decided to throw the dice and re-use the drum as is. If it didn't work, I figured I could swap it out pretty easily.
Put everything on and it works. Parked it on a steep hill and it holds fine.
Also, cable is slow to release. I can stand on the ground, release the cable and the shoe slowly retracts as the cable releases. I will need a new cable and it is definitely different than what Saturn is selling, so I will be keeping my eyes open.
