I saw a 5 ton last week with the same location of a broken front hanger, broken in exactly the same way. Maybe a bit of a weak link...

change the bracket .bolt it on till you can take it to a frame shop to have it riveted back on .i wouldnt leave it bolted since its on the front and takes massive loads when you steer

I would leave it bolted with grade 8 bolts. The shear strength of those bolts should hold up fine. I would leave this as the weakest link (if it actually is) as it is easier to repair than a bent spindle/axle/???
